Appearance

When not covered in grease and grime Rue is surprisingly young and beautiful for the type of work she specializes in. She is very toned and bears some muscle definition due to her strong hands on approach to magitek engineering with strength being a necessary requirement to getting the job done. Rue’s dominant right arm was replaced by a magitek robotic prosthetic after a brutal accident during her younger years, a small chip was embedded on the back of her neck directly over the start of her spine that helps control it just as effectively as an actual limb.

History

Both of Rue's parents defected from Garlemald not to long after the Garlond Ironworks was established about that time she was only four years old. Her father Maxus is a mathematical genius, specializing in magitek robotics, weaponry and machinery. Her mother Marleea, is a master chemist working with volatile chemicals and complex ceruleum for use in high powered batteries, explosives and fuels. Rue was a bi-product of her parent's brilliance, and became a prodigy herself at a very young age. Learning everything she knew from them both. While her parent's saw her gifts as something to be sheltered and cherished, Rue broke away from her promised position as an Ironworks engineer to begin working for herself away from all the pressure her family placed upon her. While looking for work she had caught the attention of the yakuza ran motorcyle club known as the Iron Reavers and is currently keeping herself blissfully busy repairing and maintaining their precious bikes as she continues to harness her skills and knowledge as a Magitek Engineer.

[Magitek Artifical Intellegence 2.0]

MAI-2 [Magitek Artificial Intelligence 2.0]MAI-2 is a magitek operated device and the brainchild of Rue’s continued passion for her engineering work. This AI mechanism simulates intelligence by use of data, algorithms and magitek power to gather and learn from its surroundings. Nothing short of a glorified calculator MAI-2 acts like Rue’s second brain, being able to problem solve, analyze, translate and understand languages as well as diagnose issues on both living and mechanical objects.This handy device has become a lovely tool and companion for Rue and is programmed to operate under her command only but will also converse in logical communication with others, even if sometimes coming off as brutally blunt and honest.MAI-2 can also override and hack other mechanical motherboards and operating systems to take control of anything running on Magitek power (unless other systems are in place to prevent this of course).

Young Pureblood Garlean
Born in Garlemald and raised the majority of her life in Eorzea, Rue does possess her Garlean third eye but she prefers to keep it closed for many reasons. She only really opens it while she drives any vehicle or when she is gunslinging as it helps improve her already sharp aim. Rue does have a slight accent from being raised by her parents but does her best to suppress it to avoid judgment and distaste that many still hold against the Empire. Rue is very understanding of this and handles it with grace since they don’t know her own history personally. She acts and dresses young because she IS young, only just recently turning twenty years old.Magitek Expert
Rue had a natural feel for Magitek at a very young age, this was thanks to her father’s brilliance and knowledge as a Garlean Engineer. When Rue’s family left Garlemald to join the Garlond Ironworkers he was tasked with understanding and applying Allagan technology which came with little difficulty as he was already an expert in advanced tech. Rue learned everything she knew from him and continues to push the boundaries of Magitek technology to new heights looking to improve it, and make it more powerful in any way she possibly can.Specializations: Magitek vehicles, heavy weapons, machinery and AI tech.Garlean Scientist
While Magitek remains her primary focus Rue was also taught to be a scientist and chemist by her mother. Working with the Garlond Ironworkers alongside Rue’s father, her mother was responsible for creating sustainable complex fuels and batteries to help power the Magitek equipment as well as handling volatile chemicals for use in explosives. Rue did suffer a horrible accident involving highly corrosive materials resulting in the amputation of her dominant right arm when she was very young but it didn’t stop her from learning. She still continues to practice chemistry despite all that with a deep understanding and respect for its use and power.Specializations: Chemical explosives, fuel production, battery creation and sustainability.Sheltered youth turned rebellious soul…
Rue was seen by many of the Garlond Ironworkers, as a young prodigy. Her fascination with the creations being made around her at headquarters overall sparked a deep interest. She was able to learn quickly, retatain, apply and create great technological advancements at a young age. Her overbearing parents wanted to see her greatness shine and instead of allowing her to bloom on her own, forced her to be great instead. She became overwhelmed in her education, and the great expectations from her parents became a weight she was unable to bear. Rue eventually pushed back, rebelling against her parents to leave her promised position as a Garlond Ironworker to work and see the world for herself. Doing things her way for the first time in her young adult life.
